Members Sue Pastor for Mortgaging Church

In a recent article, Sheila Burke of the Fairview Observer reported that members of the Jackson Street Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee, filed suit against their pastor alleging that he mortgaged church property without the permission of the majority of the congregation. Mistrial Declared in Holy Land Case

United States District Judge Joe Fish today declared a mistrial on almost all of the counts against the Holy Land Foundation, an Islamic charity that was accused of illegally funneling money to Hamas. The United States government had viewed the case as part of its wide efforts to curb the financing of terrorism. Several news agencies have reported on the story:
